| This was not a concise biography of Oskar Schindler. Aside from a few pieces of information, the film SCHINDLER'S LIST gave me a better understanding of the man. Like the film, this was mostly about Schindler's heroic saving of Jews during World War II. | This book is like a children's book in which there is a picture on each page with just a sentence. It is very simple and yet gets the point across. It starts out showing jewish children living a happy normal life. Then the Nazi's invade and it shows what they had to go through. These are actual pictures that were taken at that time. They tell their own story. It was a sad time and this book, by the end, made me shed a few tears. It is a wonderful book that reminds us so we never forget. |
