| We use this book as part of our home school curriculum (Ambleside Online) and love it... the stories are short, some illustrated and have historical significance (pulled from many sources, greek and roman history, bible, great figures in American and European history etc). James Baldwin's book are a SURE Thing when it comes to value for dollar. He write so simply, but yet, there is no "dumbing down" as it is called. | This is a very well-written, fast-paced, factually-based book. Chapter twenty-four, starting on page 155, about four-year-old Tidbit being used as gator bait by Clay Derby and his friends was especially enlightening (or sickening). |

| These CDs are great. They help us learn the correct pronunciation of names of historic people and places. This curriculum makes history fun and interesting and memorable, especially if you use the accompanying workbooks as well. The whole family can learn world history as well as quite a bit of world geography. And the geography sticks in the brain longer than rote memorized geography because the world history stories help you connect meaning to the maps. | Sarah Noble went with her father through the wilderness to build a house in New Milford, Connecticut. She met new friends who were Native Americans. Sarah stayed with them when her father went off to get the rest of her family. The best part is the ending but I am not going to tell you what happens. I recommend this to kids that like adventure stories.
