| What a disappointment! So many other fabulous yoga books out there written in a friendly and nurturing way with beautiful illustrations. In this book the illustrations are accurate but there is no beauty. That is also how I felt about the writing. If you just want an intellectual approach to yoga this book might do the trick. I think yoga deserves so much more. |

| After purchasing the first in this series, I had to have this one. The artwork is wonderful--emotion leaps from the pictures at times. The plot line is interesting and I enjoy this being set as a fantasy with swords and magic. All this and the men are beautiful, what more could I ask?
I simply can't wait for the next installment! |

| I picked this up from the bargin sale table in the bookstore; I'm certainly glad I didn't pay full price. I never read any of Chabon's work, but this was a much-heralded first novel from a Pulitzer winner so I thought it would be a good read. Best thing I can say is the book is short & a quick read, so I don't regret the colossal waste of my time it was. | I loved the movie and I loved the book, although in differnt ways. The book has a slew of minor characters that would be too confusing for the movie. If you are a fan of Southern fiction, this book is a must. Even if you're not, check out this title. |

| Very good book. I laughed I cried, I read every page fast. I plan on reading it again and telling my friends about it.

| This is truly an inspiring story about real family values. Very well written it gives an insight of a man's journey to find his true identity, of a family fighting for the right to have a baby and society partly not being ready to accept the fact that "family" can be defined in more than one way. But more than anything else it is a book about love. |

| Having not read Galli before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have had some disappointments in the past with Lesbian Fiction that is nothing more then a prolonged sexual romp with little else.
Uncommon Emotions, though ripe with fairly graphic and tantalizing sex scenes, manages an actual story along with character development. If I'm honest, I rather enjoyed the delayed gratification the book offered. You are well past the half-way point in the book before the main characters consummate their relationship. | If you are looking for a book to read during the long nights this winter, try this one! It really is a wonderful novel about love, loss and the power of possibilities.
I have a the unabridged CD version of this book (10 cds in all). After listening to half of the first CD I thought I had made a mistake, but by the end of that CD I was hooked. When I got to the 9th cd I was a little sad that it would be over. When I finished the 10th CD I went to the computer to see what else I could read by Ann Patchett. |

| I enjoyed this book on so many levels. I highly recommend it, especially to those who enjoy an angsty and passionate journey of self-awareness and romance or can relate to being at the age where you really start to find yourself and your place.
I chose this book because after reading the synopsis and reviews, I felt I could relate to the setting and themes.
