| Randy Shilts was a great writer, his books are always a good read. This was his first, and perhaps best book. It tells the story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected politician in America. I bought this book after reading the reviews of "Milk," the new movie starring Sean Penn as Harvey Milk. | I am writing this 1/2 way through the book, but so far I am impressed with Bly's ability to tie the meaning behind ancient fairy tales and traditions which bound men and boys together with the social ills that result today from the lack of these ties. | Why I liked this book: This is definitely a page-turner and a true sequel in that you have to have read Without Reservations to understand how Remi is a new wolf and the type of man he was to his friends. Learning about Remi's past, his present and being uncertain about his future is as scary for the reader as it is for the characters. | Wow. I was reading excerpts of innocent gay novels when I stumbled upon this work. It intrigued me, but I steered clear of it at first when I saw a review saying it had sex between a father and son :-O. | I absolutely loved "Thirteen Hours". It starts off in a very interesting position, and gets better and better as the story goes along. Dana Watts, a woman who puts all her focus on work, gets a birthday surprise in the form of a gorgeous dancer named Laurel. She is shocked and angry by the intrusion and escorts the woman out personally. Unfortunately---or rather---fortunately, the elevator they ride in loses power and the two woman are stuck together for quite some time.

| I bought this book based on a reference in Secrets of the A Game by Logan Edwards. This is great book that covers a lot of ground and it if you actually read and apply the writing to your life, you will have more success with women.
It's a lot to take it, so I recommend reading a chapter every week and trying to incorporate a few new techniques or strategies until you feel you're ready to move to the next chapter. | I just started reading gay literature and I am glad this book was recommended to me by a friend as it set me off searching for others like it. Being younger gay man myself I found tons of relatable moments in the story and at parts had me so entwined with the characters that I went through the emotions right along with them. This novel captures the beauty of exploring human intimacy and how its effects can ripple out through a lifetime. |
