I try to finish all my books to the bitter end, but I had an especially hard time with this one. Waters departs from her Victorian underworld lesbian heroines to explore well, I don't really know, but I'm sure the War has something to do with it. | Strings Attached has proved to be one of my all time favorite gay romance novels. It is extremely well written and is a compelling read. I could not put it down. I enjoyed it so much I bought Double Bound. |

| I had been putting off this book for about 4 years and I finally read it. I was putting it off because I read the first chapter and it was dry. I have to tell you that it gets better down the road. Audre is not just talking about lesbianism, she is talking about being a woman and general. You can get good relationship advice by NOT following what she did in her relationships. | My biggest gripe about this book is that I had to spend the first two chapters changing my mental pronounciation of Cees's name because Goldsby didn't tell me until I'd read the name seven or eight times that it isn't pronouced as it appears.
That said, this is a well-written book that deals with a kind of problem that is difficult to find a good resolution for. Health problems create mountains that cannot be turned into molehills. | This book is wonderful and I'm a different person for reading it. You'll miss Molly Bolt once you've finished it. Can't say enough about this book, but I also can't articulate how much it affected me. Give it a shot, you won't regret it. |

| I finally just read this book after having it on my "to-read" list for far too long. I'm appreciative of "Stone Butch Blues" on so many levels! It's amazing to read something that relates to you in a very meaningful way and this book does that for me. I think the author did a wonderful job of injecting details of historic importance into the story. A very needed and well-executed book for our community. |

| Seems to me, with due respect, that some people may complaint a bit too much. I have just bought a copy from a bookstore, where (and I was happily surprised by it) it was displayed on the new releases table without wrapping, as it should, for anyone to sample it. This is the intensely erotic and higly personal work of a fascinating artist, regardless of what selfrighteous and hypocritical bigots may still claim.
