| I bought this book for my mom - she is a pre-school teacher and was telling this story to her class for years without having the book. The kids love this story so much, so she was excited to be able to bring her new book to share with her kids. |

| Runt is a very good book about 5 wolf pups born deep in the Minnesota woods; leader, Runner, Sniffer, Thinker, and Runt. Runt's father is very disappointed in Runt even though Runt looks just like him. As the name suggests, Runt is the runt of the group and struggles to survive even from the start. You will never believe the ending to this great book.

| This is a very nice book that every kid will love. The story is well kown legend of my country (france)with a lot of action and very good details of the middle age. Unfortunately, the author has obviously never met an Irish Wolfhound. I own one and believe me she has absolutely no idea of the power, strengh, weight and size of those dog!! Her descriptions are those of a large german sheperd not of a 75kg Wolfhound.
If you are an Irish Wolfhound owner and buy this book for that reason, you will be disapointed. |

| This was adorable! The idea of creatures coming out of their books is not a new one, but it's still a fun one and this book gives it a great, sarcastic kiddie edge when a young boy is left alone with a copy of "Little Red Riding Hood". Of course, those pesky wolves pop up ready to devore human flesh, but the boy has some tricks from his other fairy tale books.
It's funny, surprisingly clever, and pays a great tribute to some classic fairytales. |

| this novel was well put together, i quite enjoy this author. so far everything i've read by him (to date probably 3 books including this one... but still) has been well written. he seems to know what words to use to best capture a feeling or mood or set the tone. characterization is also very well done.
