| This might be a great book. It's a Newberry Medal winner after all and recommended by many people including teachers and librarians. So I trusted it should be good for my children. But when my 10-year-old daughter got this book from her teacher in her classroom and read the book upto page 102, she said, "Mom, this part is so gross!" | THis story is classic. I use this book so much that I have to retire my old copy and replace it with a new one every couple of years. It is a fabulous vehicle for storywriting in the primary classroom. |

| Neil Gaiman's intelligence is evident in his books which are a delight. When they are paired with the incredible artwork of Dave McKean they are unsurpassed. The Wolves in the Walls is both scary and funny. I would also recommend Gaiman's The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Gold Fish and Coraline. |

| This is the second novel by Avi that I've read, and I have to say he's one of my favorite children's authors. In both "Crispin and the Cross of Lead" and "The Good Dog", he writes of things that young people can understand and does a great job seeing the world through the eyes of the young. (Or in this case, the eyes of the furry malamute!) I enjoyed this book immensely. |

| My 2 1/2 year old loves this book. The characters "Large" and "Small" are simple, and the theme is "I love you no matter what." When "Small" is feeling "grim and grumpy," Large reassures her that she loves Small no matter what. Its very reassuring to my daughter, and when she's throwing a fit, we ask her if she's grim and grumpy. We usually get a pathetic "yes." Then we tell her we love her no matter what! |

Let alone this book is absurd, many masterpieces are, but this is down right messed up!
