| My daughter has recently been very interested in reading. She's always loved being read to and was very content with that. She just turned 4 and suddenly it became her life's purpose to read. So she picked out this set and Mouse Has Fun at the bookstore. We went home, followed the instructions, and that night she "read" all 8 books to me. | My four year old is really interested in sharks and this little book turned out to be a good intro. It's short and there are 1-2 sentences per page with fairly easy words so it was easy for him to memorize and now "read" i.e., recite to me. Highly recommended for a young pre-reader. |

| A beautiful picture/counting book that teaches young people about protecting our sea life. I used it with my first grade art students who helped me count down and discuss what happens to fish when people are careless or thoughtless. The stunning paintings of saltwater fish and their ocean environment inspired my students to create their own works of art and to think about preserving their own environments. |

| My one year old loves this still. It has held up to her playing, but maybe wouldn't with a child that likes to tear things or pull things apart. The pages don't open all the way, but she still really enjoys it. |

| My almost three year old daughter loves this book and requests it every night before bed. The reason I think it is special is that the illustrations encourage the reader's verbal participation. For example, at the end of the book when Clara still isn't tired and might get out of bed again with another imaginary friend, my daughter Jane says "No Tata" and tries to put her back under the covers so she will go to sleep.
