| When I first saw the cover of this book, I assumed that it would be a mediocre story with a cute gimmick, like most "gimmicky" books. This one is a rare exception. It has wonderful, varied vocabulary in rhyme form. The animation is phenomenal, and the story itself accurately describes what a bee does. It's not too long or drawn out, so it's perfect for three's and four's. The informational pages at the end offer more detailed facts.

| This is one of my favorite books from childhood! I especially love the way it reads in a sing-song manner. I purchased it along with others for a baby shower to help the new mom start her child's library. |

| The book reads well and can be used as the child grows. Initially a younger chil will like the stories and need some explaination but as you read the stories over and the child grows they can make out their oun interpretations of the habits (with some guidence of the parents). |

| Boynton books have really been hit or miss with my daughter - and us parents who must read them.
Hippos go Berserk is one of the better ones. The rhyming and counting keep the pace moving. It's no "Red Hat Green Hat" in the eyes of my daughter, but much better than some of the alternatives. |

| I bought this book in preparation for my 2 year old son's first plane ride to grandma's house. We have several Richard Scarry books, so he is used to the chaotic array of images, and this is the book that he goes to several times a day...asking for the plane book.

| We've read many books this year and I'd have to say this is one of my 6 year old's very favorite books. (She especially loves reading about "Moses the Kitten" and "Oscar the Cat".)
The illustrations are wonderful with a lot of detail but not so that they overwhelming. We've spent quite a bit of time going over the illustrations pointing out a lot of the detail. I bought a used copy of this book. Had I known what an exceptional book it is, I probably would have bought a brand new copy. |

| I have had my share reading books with my two younger children for their AR goals in school, and I must say this series is just awesome. They are short enough to read one per night and test on the next day! Very interesting as well, even for an adult! Can't wait to read the rest of the series! |
