| I have been an avid reader for most of my 59 years, but I STILL say
that this is my FAVORITE book of ALL TIME...no matter what genre... It matters not that it is "recommended" for 9-12 year olds, if YOU have not discovered this wonderful story, then you must! | My daughter really enjoyed this book. From her description it seems to combine a compelling story with historical accuracy and give a description of how the Nazi occupation affected families, particularly children. |

| This book was pretty good. It is a good book if you want to know survive in the woods. Also it is a good book to see everything you can do with just one hatchet. This is also real good because it is very realistic. I would say that this book could be read by ages ten and up. Also what I thought was cool is that the cover says that it sold over 2,000,000 copies.It probably sold that many copies because it was a real godd book.

| This is a great book for kids, even young ones around 2.5 years old. It's an engaging story and my son loves the part where the man wakes up to find his hats gone, and looks up and sees all the monkeys wearing the hats! He asks me to read it everynight, and remembers the phrase "caps for sale." |
