| This book is definitely not the same format as the other If You Give books. As another reviewer mentioned, it is primarily a counting books without many words. However, my toddler enjoyed it. We had a good time pointing out and examining the many ornaments on the last page. |

| The story begins with a famous line from a famous poem that leads to the fact that one little adorable mouse was indeed stirring, exploring via riddles all the colorful charms of Christmas time. The illustrations are lovely and the story is charming. |

| I agree with other reviews that I don't think this book is as good as The Gruffalo...but I'm still giving it 5 stars because it is still a really great book. I don't think the story is as clever and the ending seems a little anti-climatic. But my 18 month old son LOVES this book...even more than The Gruffalo. This is one of the most often read books in our house. |

| I started reading this to my son when he turned 2, and at first, he was o nly interested in the illustration that had a fan depicted. I would read the first 1-2 pages of the book, and he would quickly flip over to his favorite page and then we were done with the book. However, I used to read it to him every day and soon he progressed to actually letting me read the entire story to him. | Owen clearly has a problem. Kevin Henkes doesn't shy away from letting us know, through the illustrations, that his problem is a buttinsky neighbor.
Unfortunately, Owen's parents listen to their neighbor and keep taking her dubious advice about his blanket. Of course, Owen really *can't* bring his blanket to school - but his parents finally stop thinking of Mrs. Tweezers' view of things and come up with a bright idea - they turn Fuzzy into handkerchiefs! | My kids are big fans of The Tale of Despereaux, so they were excited to read this book. It's not the same as the original story. It's not meant to be. Children should definitely read the classic original book first. But this is a fun, easy-to read version of the movie. We are all looking forward to watching this film soon! |

I have no idea where to be able to reach you but im hoping this may work because Amazon is a popular store. I am 13 and currently going into the eight grade. Despite the fact that I read at a college level these are still my most favorite books. I beg of you to continue writing this series. | An ingenious, droll little children's book intended to teach them about colors. At ten months, my son is too young to appreciate it very much, but I read it to him anyway just so I get the chance to enjoy its storytelling, artwork, didactic skill, and humor. |
