| This story is a very subtle portrayal of lost friendship, the pain that follows it and building new friendships. The story opens with a mouse and a possum, two very close friends, one of which moves away. The remaining friend (the mouse) finds this loss too painful to take a chance on making new friends. | I had this book as a child and thought I would never again set eyes on these wonderful illustrations by Beatrix Potter. I didn't even know the title of the book, only remember an untidy "lady mouse" character in the story named Hunka Munka. My husband suprised me with this book as an adult and seeing those beautiful illustrations swept me directly back to my childhood. | A superb follow up to "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIHM." My 9 and 10 year olds both agreed they liked this book more than the first and continue to talk about it weeks after we finished the story. |

| I just received this book, and I'm sure the prose is terrific. But if you're hoping for a book with those great Pixar illustrations -- this isn't it. Or if you're expecting a sort of "art of" book -- this isn't it. In the middle of the 126-page book you'll find 8 color pages with stills (photographs) of the movie. I know, the subtitle clearly says "novel", and that's exactly what it is. |

| Capyboppy was one of the first books I read as a child and even now as an adult, there is a copy of it on my bookshelf.
This is the charming and true story of the Peet Family and their adventures with a capybara that comes to live with them. It is very funny in many parts and quite sad in others but I think Peet was being completely honest in the telling of this story.
