| I was a child of the 50's in England, and remember singing "Teddy Bear's Picnic" back then. I don't remember seeing a book but sang the song many times as a child. I was thrilled when Green Tiger Press published the book when my son was born in the 80's -- now bought out by Simon & Schuster. I have the original version that came boxed with a cassette tape. I was hoping to buy some for my nieces and nephew's children but updated with a CD. I hope someone gets the word out to the publisher to update it so they can play ... Read More: |

| This is a great book. I remembered it from MY childhood, and my daughter (2) loves it! This is an easier B-bear book for smaller kids to listen to, as it rhymes and is a very simple plot. Basically, a dinosaur bone disappears from the bear museum and the bears (3) search for it. "There's no case too hard, no case too tough, for the bear detectives and their hound dog Snuff!" |

| This book was the hit of the baby shower this book was given at. ALL of the young mothers had forgotten about this book that they had loved themselves as children - so when the gift box with this book was opened...there was so many ooooo's and ahhhhhhhh's that went up from the room for this modern classic. The book was passed around and everyone had to look at it for just it's nostalgia alone. | My 4 year old absolutely loves this book (and so do I). He likes to trace his fingers around the map included at the front of the book as I read about Henry's journey. The fact that this bear is modeled after Thoreau is very endearing. |

| We got this book before my daughter was born to read to our 2 year old son. We had hoped that it would ease the transition from being an only child to an older brother. This book is easy to read, isn't too long and has great illustrations. |

| In the fairy tale mood, I was looking for something to follow up Master Of Shadows. Jessica Day George's SUN AND MOON, ICE AND SNOW looked like just the ticket. A retelling of the East of the Sun, West of the Moon fairy tale, I was both excited and nervous. | I've never heard the name Berlioz before reading this book. Oh well, that's no big deal. Berlioz proves to be a likeable guy, even though he doesn't really do anything. He doesn't come up with a great plan to save the day or anything. In fact, he CAUSES the conflict of the story. You see, he's all worried about the performance he and his band have to give and he's not paying attention to the road. He's lucky he doesn't run a stop sign and get hit by a train.
