| This is good book about swearing or cuss words. Also important to never make a big fuss when a kid swears, then he or she will just keep doing it to get a reaction. |

| My 2 year old son loves this book! We started reading a few weeks before preschool began, and it really helped him know what to expect at school. Even after school started, he wants to read it every night and tell us what he does at school that is just like Corduroy, as well as what is different. We've been able to discuss sharing, his teachers, and get more information from him about how he's feeling at school.

| This book was a favorite of now grown grandchild. Before we could wear out library copy, we had to buy her one of her own (which she did wear out). Now she expects her own baby and first thing she wanted for that baby was that book. I also purchased the book as a gift for older sibling of a friend's new grandchild. She says that four year old would not let go of the book while they were visiting. The pop up version just adds to the wonderfully exciting story for children. |

| My kids have gone nuts for commercial toy crazes, at times--what kids haven't? This book teaches a great lesson about how this sort of thing can backfire. It gives parents a way to introduce the idea to commercially-pressured kids that maybe it isn't such a great idea to jump on board the latest toy craze bandwagon and rush out to buy all sorts of useless overpriced toys. This a fine addition to the Berenstain Bears line of books. |

| My kids, in 1st and 2nd grade, read and loved this book. I think it is particularly satisfying to children because often when kids say they are afraid of something, perhaps of poisonous snakes in the woods or ghosts in the closet, adults will tell them "there's no poisonous snakes in these woods", or "there's no such thing as a ghost". In this book, however, young Jonathan's fears were VINDICATED! He was right and there WERE bears on Hemlock Moutain!

The reason is that they are a very smart predator species. Relocation to Antartica has been the idea of some conservationists.
