| I am currently taking a literature course on Harry Potter, it is part of a children's literature minor that I am going for. This book was not required, but I got it in case it was a good supplement - and it is! This book explores roots behind names in their language. It also discusses what the "real" equivalent means to us. For example, how we view dragons (if they were real) versus how they are viewed in the magical world of J.K. Rowling.

| I was very disappointed in this volumn. I love the Harry Potter books and I haven't been a Christian since the through me out for being queer, like Dumbledore. I have read several books by the Hogwarts Professor, but this one is so drenched in anti-atheist-Christ-is-Everything sentiment that it was a struggle to get through. | Not good for reading to child before bedtime. Not enough words, story, substance. We were bored with it after one reading. My 2yr son isn't old enough to read yet, but when he is, I am guessing he will read it once and then be bored with it again. |
