| The first Russell the sheep book was wonderful, especially as it dealt with insomnia. My son loves both books, and the artwork is very good in both. But I have a slight preference for the first book as it deals with an ongoing challenge with young children (sleep). The "lost treasure" book may be better for the 5 - 7 crowd rather than the 3 - 5 crowd. Either way, it's still a good book. |

| This book was a great hit throughout my second grade art classes. They have been looking for characteristics of Picasso and Matisse in every art work we see. Then I read it to one of my first grade classes an hour before Christmas break began. They had so much fun creating self-portraits using the techniques of either one of these artists that several didn't want to leave the art room. I'd post some of their artwork if I could. It's been a wonderful experience. |

| Any of the 1001 things to spot books are wonderful! My twins girls have several of them and they can sit for the longest time playing with these books. They help with identifying objects, counting, color recognition, patience etc. I highly recommend them and we give them to their friends at Chirstmas and birthday parties. I haven't found them in any bookstores, I've only found then online. Moms, get your kids one of these books, you won't be sorry!! |

| We bought this for our niece. The stories are heart-warming, but also sometimes realistically heart-breaking. I think it'll help any child develop sympathy and respect for other animals, plus city kids will get a glimpse of farm life.
We had read the comments about it being hard to read and understand, so my fiance read me a story from it before we wrapped it up and sent it out. We did get some good laughs from him trying to pronounce a few things. The problem isn't that the words are big, its that ... Read More: |

| I bought this book, I live in the UK. It did not tell me how much the postage would be when I purchased it, just told me what the book would cost in US$. When I received an email confirming this book would cost £37 GBP I nearly fell over. It also wouldn't let me cancel the item even though it hadn't been dispatched. In the shop it only costs £8.99 so why would I want to spend a fortune on a book I can get for a fraction of the cost!! |

| Eyewitness Books are one of those rare collections of books geared toward children that can also be happily read by adults. If you have a young horse lover in the family, get this book for them. It gives lots and lots of easily read information on breeds, body part names, tack, history, use, etc. I keep a copy on my own book shelves and have given out several copies to kids who come to visit the riding stable where I work. You cannot go wrong with this book. |
