| My young toddler loves lift-the-flap style board books, and this is one of his current favorites. The stars of the books are sweet, lovable toy farm animals, and the story hides the animals behind durable cardboard flaps for baby to lift and play "peekaboo." Each animal also has a little panel of textured material - soft, smooth, rough - for baby to explore with his hands. The colors are bright and inviting, and it's an attractive book to enjoy together. I highly recommend it! |

| ISBN 059044185x - I've had a dozen or so copies of this book pass through my hands and wind up in the garbage... because they've been read to shreds! Any book that will get that much loving from any kid is worth taking a peek at.

| I agree with the other positive reviews. I just wanted to add that I used this book with a preschool storytime, and I followed it up with a sort of reader's theater. Each child was assigned one of the animals in the book. I took a walk around the room and said, "I went walking." The children all replied, "What did you see?" I held up a card with a picture of the animal on it. They say, "I saw a _____ (black cat, etc.) looking at me!" and then the children assigned that animal got up and followed ... Read More: |

| Okay, if you are looking for a book that just has facts, no history about the breed, nothing interesting to it then don't get this book. If you are looking for some breed history and a fun read with that classic touch of Marguerite Henery then this is great. I still love reading it over and over. Henery doesn't write boring books about facts, she writes stories about horses, I have no idea why people expect this to be any different. | This is the well-known and loved five little ducks story, but the artwork is absolutely charming and my daughter loves to notice new details each time we read it. Definitely a book that will get read and re-read, but you won't tire of it since it is so beautifully done. |

| This was our baby's first cloth book. It has easy-to-touch pages. We helped him reach out to touch the 3-D animal-parts and soon, he reached out on his own. We bought the cloth book with the turtle on the cover - thinking the baby would like it just as much. He doesn't seem to be as engaged with this one. |
