| If this is the book that doesn't poke fun at all the pseudo-intellectuals out there! This is certainly a very cute way to introduce the blatant importance and use of reading to young children. It comes off a little preachy, but the animal characters are certainly hilarious. |

This is a good book about Christmas. The drawings are really, really, really good! The saddest part of the book is also the funniest part of the book. Ernest goes to find his friend Chester in the snow and he ends up standing on top of him and Chester yells at him to get off of him. He was covered in snow, so Ernest couldn't see him. | "The Milk Makers" is a Moo-masterpiece when it comes to educational value it scores big! The illustrations are simple the text is clear for even young toddlers and lets face it adults are sure to learn something new as well. | My daughter has loved this book since she was only about 6 months old! There's something about the rhythm of the words and the silliness of the pictures that has always appealed to her. While the rhymes may not always follow the most natural flow, it's pretty easy to figure out a way to read it aloud that keeps that rhythm going.

| My daughter and I own the Golden Book version of this classic story but we've read so many plays on the story and versions and I have to say THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST. It's done in such a nice simplistic way and the illustrations are charming, we got it from our local library and my daughter asked to read it every night! If you are searching for the best Little Red Hen this is it! |

| Too bad this one is out of print. It's the best of the Karma Wilson's I've read so far. The usual rhymes and illustrations you expect from her are there. But it's also funny and lively. I'd recommend for any kid 2-6 |
