| I saw this book at a friend's house when my daughter was 6 months old and fell in love with it. I bought a copy for us and regularly buy copies for friends. My daughter, now 2 years old, loves to be read to and won't go to bed without six or seven or eight books. To Market To Market is still a favorite. |

| This book was my husband's favorite book in the 60s when he was in elementary school. Now we read it to our children, along with many other Bill Peet books. We love the illustrations, plots and rhymes in Bill Peet's books. Buford is a sweet and innocent mountain goat dealing with a handicapping condition (oversized curling horns) that threatens his safety. | I got this book because my 2 1/2 year old couldn't get enough of "The Bear's Toothache." (also highly recommended.) I love the colorful pictures. My son has learned what bagpipes are and what begging is because of these illustrations. My friend who teaches 1st grade was around when I was reading this book with my son and she informed me that this kind of rhyming book is so good for children. | This is a great collection of stories, and I love the book overall. I am disappointed, however, that the story I purchased it for (The Little Red Hen) is missing. I had searched all over for that story with the original illustrations. One of the reviews mistakenly indicated that it would be included. |

| This is a cute story about duck detectives out to solve the case of the pilfered vegetables.
This is a well crafted book that even reads like the old show. I found it was easy to mimic Jack Webb's presentation. What is also cute is the incorporation of old children's fables for extra characters. The artwork is fun and my girl liked to say the tag line "Dum de dum dum" You can't go wrong with this one. I have had to read it couple times every day so far. |

| I recently read this story for my students. They LOVED it! They joined in whenever the page said "Run, Turkey, Run!". They have asked me to read it again and again. I will make this a keeper for my class and read it every Thanksgiving! It's a simple and fun story. |

| My 14 month old son giggles every time we play with this one! I wish I'd have found this when he was younger. I take it with us whenever we go out to eat so he has a fun distraction. |

| My toddler loves this Barney book. She likes to lift the flaps and imitates the sounds of the animals. I have it in her bag to keep her entertained when she is bored like waiting in line. She likes to have me read it to her over and over. |

| My granddaughter just loves this book. She wanted to finish the book the first night but Mom said bedtime ruled. Have reread the book 4 times and she still wants more. I highly recomend this book for great bonding time. |
