| Mad Maudie along with Orkwil Prink, Rangval the Rogue, and Gorath the Flame unite to together rid the world of the evil Gruntan Kurdly and Vizka Longtooth. A great book of dashing and debonair deeds accomplished by all the "good guys." The book also was hysterically funny with codj's foolishness, Rangvarl's also woefull want for food, Gruntan Kurdly's craving for hardboiled eggs and the antics of Mad Maudie. | The Magic Tree House series turned my unenthusiastic grandson into a book lover. Having trouble finding books he'd actually sit down and read, I bought a couple of these titles at his school's book fair. | My four year old son is in love with this chapter series! A friend suggested it to us since he seemed ready for a more advanced reading material at bedtime. My husband reads him a chapter every night...sometimes more because they don't want to stop. It's become a great tradition for them, and something they both look forward to. We love that there are so many in the collection! Start with number 1 and just continue. :) |

| This was my first Magic Tree house book and I was really impressed. The story was well-done, and the concept of the tree house time machine reminded me of when I was a kid with a tree house in the woods with books strewn across its floor. In a way, many of us did or do have a tree house time machine to carry us away on wings of imagination, and I guess that's one of the reasons why these books are so popular.
