| To me, this book requires some imagination and patience. I could not just breeze through the Prologue and other parts of the book without having to go back and reread some parts. But once I got into the beginning and reading about Arthur, the hesitant hero, the book grew on me.
I found it was quite easy to visualize the main character's adventures when he was on Earth in the beginning, but when the book shifted to the other world..I kind of got confused again. But I did not give up ... Read More: |

| This is not even a cliffhanger. It is not a book. It is 462 excellent pages of an 800 page book. Let this serve as the warning that should have been on the cover of "Dark Whispers": Wait for pages 463 to 800 to be written before starting this book at all.

| I recently reviewed Recorded Books Incorporated's unabridged rendition of Fellowship of the Ring. I return now to review the second installment of the trilogy, The Two Towers. | Throughout the Redwall books Martin has always been not only the founder of Redwall but a veritable figure of legend. This book finally tells his story. Like the series, it's a grand ol' adventure. However, I felt this one packed the most emotion--I dare to call this a tragedy. If you can put up with that, this is a fantastic and passionate read. |

| The Lord of the Rings books are great, but the publisher of these books really did a poor job of printing these. There is extra ink on some of the pages and the maps are poorly put in place. |

| The Hand of the Goddess is the second book in the Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce. I would recommend reading them in order. Even though the book touches on some events in the previous book, there is just not enough detail book of those events to skip them. Many of them are integral in seeing the development of Alanna "Alan" over the years.

| These are wonderful books, I purchased this set to replace the paperbacks I originally purchased. The paperbacks were a waste of money, the larger volumes started falling apart after the 2nd reading. My children started reading these and could not put them down I couldn't believe I had to tell the boys twin 11 year olds to stop reading and go out to play for a while. I had to purchase the hard covers because I know we will re-read this series many times over. |
