There really seems little point to this children's fantasy, other than showing off James A. Owen's literary knowledge. His story slides back and forth across that fine line between homage and blatant rip-off so quickly, it made my head spin. | Sir Thursday was an interesting book. You will have to read the previous three books to enjoy it thoroughly. Keys to the Kingdom is a fantasy series, a very good one. The book starts off at a council of war between Dame Primus, Arthur and all of his subjects. When they are interrupted and Arthur is drafted into Thursday's army. He has to go! | I was hoping this book would be sort of like "The Uglies" by another other author, and it was.. "sort of" with the whole futuristic teen living vibe/ slang/ use of mood altering drugs but that's as far as it went.
The main character was your stereotypical self-important spoiled girl & she stayed stuck in that mode throughout the book. | I purchased the Magic Tree House audio set because my four-year-old daughter is always asking me to tell her stories. Sometimes, I just can't get my imagination going, so I thought this would fill in my blank moments. And, in fact, it has done a wonderful job of it. We play them in the car while driving around. They really captivate my daughter. The subject matter is very interesting to children: dinosaurs, mummies, castles, pirates. The stories increased her interest in these areas.

| What a wonderful story. I LOVED it! I listened to the audio version, read by Gaiman himself and it was Perfect in every way. I wany MORE of this story. This is a story I plan to listen to or read every year. Wonderful! Even better than Coraline or Stardust (if that's even possible!!).

| I do remember that this book Castle in the Attic along with The Hatchet were my two favorite books in my 10th year probably a little later. Now I know that for all of its childish elements its actually one of your more basic fantasy stories lonely child meets exiled knight who just so happens to need his help in fighting an evil wizard. The fact that I remember it all of these years later is a testament to its staying power.

| I've read 1-4 of the series and am thoroughly enjoying it. The main characters, the illustrations, the storyline. It's no so complex that you feel the need to take notes or keep a dictionary near by. The whole book is suspenseful, pulls you right along. I'm not sure what more you could ask for. Entertaining young adult reading! |
