| This book came well within the time frame specified, in plenty of time for me to wrap and send out as a requested Christmas gift. It was in good shape and didn't smell, as some books have that I have purchased from others. The packaging was appropriate for the product and it arrived non damaged. Thanks for a great purchase! |

| I really didn't enjoy this as much as I did the first book. After I spend several hundred pages getting used to one set of characters and starting to really love them, I had to switch gears and start on a whole different set.
As for the plot, it was good until about two thirds, three quarters of the way through. After that, things start getting really trippy, with a lot of purple prose and misleading, disjointed dialogue (which was probably intentional, but still not enjoyable). The ending was really ... Read More: |

| I am a mother of four and an avid reader. I picked up these books and could not put them down. They are truly one of my very favorites. I can't wait for my own children to be old enough to read them. I would recommend buy them for your own library. |

| "Are You My Mother" is a fun little picture book with simple text, an amusing story line and adorable art. It was a family favorite when my daughter was a tot, and when I discovered it was out of print, I was delighted to find a second-hand copy for my 5 year old grandson, who knows a good story when he sees one. |

| I read to my children every night, religiously. This is one of a very few books that we are happy to pick up and re-read. They enjoyed it when they were 3 and 5, and they still enjoy it when they're now 7 and 9.
As an added bonus for fathers, the theme is about little things we might share with our children that leave a lifelong impression. My dream is that I am creating one or more lasting legacies with my children. |

| Hard to believe I missed this delightful book as a child. I adored Dahl, and read much of him, but I'd never heard of this until my wife brought it home one day. You and/or your child will also enjoy this funny and touching adventure about a kindly giant.
However, I would caution you that the book is about people-eating giants who snatch children from their beds in the night. They are beastly things who eat little children and have horrifying names. It's scary stuff! Perhaps not best to read aloud to little ones! ... Read More: |
