| Ah, the trouble kids can get into when they are alone! Van Alsburg and his wild imagination create a game that comes to life, and he has his usual gorgeous illustrations to back it up. It's a pleasing adventure that I wish I could experience. Who doesn't want to see wild animals running amok? |

| I am so sick of this book! My twin boys have been fascinated with this story for two years now. We are swimming in books here at home, but month after month this one continues to find its way to the evening "cuddle up with a book" time. | I have loved the Uncle Remus stories ever since a was 5 years old and my grandmother read them to me. She had the dialect down pat. It is very good to have this book in the house again and it is out where people can look at it and read a story, if they are so inclined. It is also a good tool to explain to children how attitudes and language have changed since those times.

| This second book in the Leven Thumps series is just as funny and action-packed as the first. You will be sucked in from the first chapter and find yourself quite annoyed when the book is over. Rest assured though, the third book will quench your thirst for more.

| My two sons (5-year old and 4-year old) have enjoyed this book for a couple years now. They imagine themselves as "little bears" and enjoy adding their own imagination to the book's different stories.
I really liked the "Birthday Soup" chapter best and have used it to teach my sons that no matter how little you have, you always have enough to share.
