| A friend loaned me her copies of this series. I enjoyed them so much I wanted my children to be able to read them, but I was apprehensive about having them read her autographed copies, and they weren't available at our local library. I was so delighted to find them at amazon.com and at such a great price I just couldn't pass them up. This is one of those true classics, great for both kids and adults. Enjoy! |

This was an interesting book, full of adventure but also has a more serious side about the need to grow up and grow in wisdom. | The set does not cost much but the books (although they look good in the box) are not well put together. You will think that someone sat at home and make them with not technology whatsoever. I think you could find a much nicer book for that price o just a few more dollars. |

| I picked this book up in order to introduce myself to Salman Rushdie. I am a big fan of well written children's books because I think they keep the imagination alive. I figured that if this guy could write a good tale for children, it would be worthwhile to check out his more "serious" novels. After reading Haroun and the Sea of Stories I've decided that I will definitely keep Salman Rushdie's name in mind for future reading.
