| David Aguilar's "Planets, Stars, and Galaxies: A Visual Encyclopedia of Our Universe" is a beautiful and well-done book that does a very good job giving a general overview of the latest astronomical knowledge. This book even includes the latest on the new designation of dwarf planets and Pluto's demotion.

| This book is wonderful. I purchased it for my 6 year old and he loves to read it. Even my 3 year old loves it. They ask to read it each night before bed. It presents a lot of information, but it is also a great discussion starter book. We read some things and then talk about the subject even more. It also helps the kids to come up with their own questions on whatever subject we are reading. THe internet links are great also. | We use this book for homeschooling and it is fantastic. Kids are naturally interested in learning about living things and this book does a great job of teaching. It has excellent photos and illustrations and good content. DK makes another book for the younger reader but I'd say this one is suitable for 5th grade and older. You won't be disappointed by this book! |
