| We love Spelling Workout. My 6 year old is a proficient reader and has used a phonics based reading program. This workbook makes her slow down and think about how the words are spelled and we also use our "best handwriting". She spells words exactly how they sound which is cute for family but usually not the correct spelling. I find this workbook the right amount of practice with 3-4 letter words to build a solid foundation for further writing. |

| I attended one of Kelly Gallagher's lectures last summer and was instantly hooked on his honesty, humor, and principles. I purchased Teaching Adolescent Writers and have used it almost daily. Gallagher's ideas and techniques make so much sense and what's even better is that everything he suggests are exactly what we teachers of writing need. | I bought a copy for all my g'kids. I love rocks and loved reading the book with them. Everybody does need a rock and kids need to be shown how to appreciate finding the right one. |

| A year and a half ago I found this book at my Daughter's Scholastic book fair. This is a GREAT book! As a Mom I have a very difficult time spelling due to Dyslexia. I can read perfectly, however spelling is a real challenge for me. I help in my child's first grade class one full day a week, and the children are always asking how to spell words. | Frankly, I bought this book with some doubt in my mind. While I do think Mrs. Levine is a great author, I also think there are other great authors and why should she be the one to promote a writing book out of everyone else?

| I teach English to children in France and this book has very little content geared for my needs and not worth the $12 I spent. I love to teach with mini-books that I create myself, so I was drawn to the title. However, I found the ones offered here very dull, i.e. copying number words, rather than engaging their creativity by having them illustrate the number word.
