| My kids have dabbled in making simple flip books before, so when I saw this, I thought it might spark more creativity. Basically the book has 8 flip books that they have started for you (about 2 x 6 inches each), and you finish it up with your own sketches. Their flip books have nice backgrounds already printed on them, like a frog on a rock, and they give you instructions on where to draw the fly and the frogs tongue. | This is an absolutely *required* resource for anyone with an American Girl doll. The dvd explains simply and clearly how to care for the AG's hair properly (so she stays looking just like the catalog pictures for many, many years). The brush is just the same AG wig brush that you would pay $7 for from the catalog. The book does indeed show more hairstyles than the dvd, but we found both enjoyable and informative...

| This was an amazing product! My daughter loves the Harry Potter series and this book was the perfect gift to encourage reading and imagination. She has spent hours going through this book and is taking her time in picking the right ingredients for her wand. | This series is a great incremental approach to working on coloring/motor skills. Although this is recommended for 2 and up, I would say it is better suited to older 2 year olds (2.5 and up) rather than all 2 year olds...primarily because most young 2 year olds aren't as suited to listening to creative instruction (like "color here" etc).
My son does love the book, though, and I love the incremental approach which builds confidence and skills at the same time! |
