| If you're looking for some fun recipes that a kid will enjoy eating, this cookbook is fine. If you're looking for recipes your kid can prepare (or help substantially with), I'd skip this book.
This is a perfectly fine cookbook with nice pictures and recipes for things that kids will probably eat, but I don't think it's well-suited for helping a child learn how to cook. | I just thought I should explain that clearly (hint, hint) after reading a few of the negative reviews. NOT a whole lot of singin' and dancin' going on in the south during Reconstruction, historically speaking that is. And this book doesn't make you feel "sad"...just oppressed...wait for it...ah, ha!...a masterpiece for all races, without a doubt. If younger readers don't get it, that might not be such a tragedy after all. |

| This is a very fun and colorful kid's cook book. Considering it's American Girl I would reccomend it for girls. This cook book separates the recipes into various sections including: eggs, pancakes, quick breads, pizza, tortillas, noodles, chocolate, popcorn, icec cream, and mix a meal. | I thought I was buying a new book. I paid the price for a new book not used and got a used book instead. I had strawberry stains on the first pages of the book and it did not come with a spatula like a new one does in the book stores. Was disappointed. Cannot give this as a gift because of the stain and the bent tabs. |
