A great reference to a great game. Rusel Demaria pads out the dry strategy sections with some fan-fiction to flesh out the story. It reminds me of the "choose your own adventure" books from the 1980s, which isn't a bad thing. Without it, this would be a dry tome full of stats and tables, the kind of thing one could print from an online listing.

The only criticism I have is that laying all the code on the table like this takes away a lot of the mystery and fun of the game -- it becomes ... Read More:

Yes, this book will show you all the maps of all the levels, and the placement of robots, powerups, etc., but I thought it was hard to follow. The maps are all in B&W and take a little study to read and follow. Though if you use them from the start, they are easier to use. I found little in there about strategy. It mainly repeats the advice the game give you. E.g., to defeat the Boss on level 12, its advice is to refer to what the intro to level 12 states. Yes, it's nice to see the maps and where ... So far this is a very good book... except the figures in
the book are too small.

Eg, "Create a polygon cube of the dimensions shown in
Figure XX.XX" is given though the image is so small
that you can't read the numbers. The sliders are helpful

version really should have ... Read More:
