| 1. This is not the novel. This is a comic book adaptation of the novel. That said, it's very well done, but you need to know what you're getting.
2. I have some issues with it. It's mentioned several pages in, that it's a very cold summer and that Coraline has to bundle up, but she's drawn wearing T-shirts and short shorts and flip flops. 3. The story and artwork might seem a little dated at first, but then this IS a prequel and I have no idea whether the effect was intentional but it panned out phenomenally! Mazzucchelli's artwork adds a new dimension to Miller's already amazing skill as a storyteller who is especially adept at weaving his magic with the Dark Knight. | WOW! When people stress the weight of this item, they are NOT kidding! I received the package in a half-open box. Luckily, the content inside was well wrapped! Not only is this a collection of Gary Larson's work throughout the years, it also has a fascinating history about him as well. In addition to his cartoons, there are also some pretty cool tid-bits throughout the book. For example, when someone wrote a letter to Mr. Larson explaining that his humor is sick and demented. One of the latest gritty, dark graphic novels to be adapted to film was "V for Vendetta," based on Alan Moore's futuristic comic of the same name. But as usual, the source is the most compelling. First published in the early 1980s, Moore painted a frightening future where there is only one man who can challenge the fascist system. Is he an anarchic madman, or a freedom-loving visionary? | Season 8 continues with a sizeable story about Faith and Giles, which were two of my favorite Buffy characters. In some ways, I enjoyed Faith's character development on Angel more than I did on Buffy, as she became as tormented as Angel about who she is and what she is to become. This story takes us up to date with her and both her self-doubt and everyone else's doubt about who she is and whose side she fights on.

| Maybe some of you are like me. I keep reading the series, even though the past volumes have been giving me nothing but grief. When I first discovered Fruits Basket, wow, six years ago. I became a huge fan. It was the first (and really only anime) that I have kept up with both through the anime and manga. I loved it for its light humor, real characters, and supernatural element that wasn't too heavy. But lately, (maybe because I'm older?) the story has been rubbing me the wrong way. Too heavy. | Here I am only writing about how the Absolute Sandman Volume three (ISBN 978-1-4012-1084-7, © 2008) doesn't thrill me by it's printing & bookbinding standards (both done in China). It's the only volume I possess so far.
(1) First and worst: the ribbon page marker has very visibly stained the pages 206/207 and 256/257. (2) The printing doesn't seem to be too great either, eg. on page 246 in the white area on the bottom of the page you can clearly see how the printing of the back page shows through (also, the bottom half of the page ...
