| I am taking my children to my Grandfather's home town in Ireland and to visit distant cousins. I bought the book to give them an idea of my great grandparents struggles. We read the book in a day and moved to Maggie's Door the next day. We all fell in love with Nory Ryan.

| C. S. Lewis gave us a timeless adventure that never grows old. I have the book, read it many times, but wanted it in audio, to listen as I crochet. The story is fresh each time I read or listen. This is great to take on a trip, to listen while in the car. You are never too old to hear it again and again. Michael York is fantastic as the reader for the audio. He really brings the story to life in a very real way. |

| Really, if books like this were read more often in schools, I bet bullying would decrease. This is a great show of what happens when we treat people badly for being different from us and just how the underdog will rise again. For a children's book, it is surprisingly complex and all the more powerful for the story Yashima weaves. | The book was very interesting. I liked how it showed a middle school kid just like me. Adam and I are just as overworked and tired. Now back to the story it is one of my personal favorites. My favorite part in the story is when you find out about the donation. At first you get all suspenseful and excited. Then you start to think what this money is actually going to support. In the end it gets extremely suspenseful because someone may lose their job and you are guessing why.

| My wife and I love and highly recommend Carl Sandburg's other book "The Wedding Procession of the Rag Doll and the Broom Handle". This is a picture book that is very funny, and was one of her favorite books growing up as a kid.
Rootabaga stories doesn't have any pictures, and is a bit strange. Don't get me wrong, the author is brilliant and the writing is interesting, but it wasn't a fun kid's book like we were expecting. |
