| This novel is one of the best of the "Anne" series. The plot moves, the characters are well portrayed, and romance keeps the suspense up and the reader engrossed. It is so wonderful to read something written about the turn of the century that isn't full of the filth of so much of today's fiction. |

| It is very interesting to look at Miriam's character in this story. It is a little hard to sympathize with her at the beginning, because she is so self centered. She doesn't seem to care for much past herself. But that changes as the story progresses, and she becomes caring and giving to others. As she does, she begins to find an inner peace that had eluded her for most of the story.

| I read The Best Christmas present ever so I ordered this book. It was as good as the first till the ending which made no sense. They never explained why what happened happened. I was disapointed. |

| I would like this to be a practical review, because I almost don't buy this CD, since there is not much info about it and the tracks are not detailed, but it's oh so worth it!

| Every child should have this set! The book is worth buying by itself, but the music of Track 2 is simply beautiful! A sweet lilting folk tune that could lull anyone to sleep, Track 2 is a rare treat. This would also make a great gift for a new mother.

Mary O'Hara is an excellent author because she ties in real things that happen into a fictional family. The breeds of horses O'Hara writes about are real and it is obvious she is educated in each horse's individual characteristics. O'Hara writes using authentic western language terms. | Quite simply this is a very enjoyable book. Its structure is a well woven blend of ancient and modern myths and legends, primarily fairies and baseball; that is, the summer country and the good ole summertime. The book also features everyone's favorite trickster: Coyote.

| This book is amazing--the stories are written so that both the young and old can appreciate and understand them. My daughter, who is four, loves these stories. The illustrations are beautiful and the mural at the bottom of each page is a wonderful addition. We are now reading Grandfather Mountain by the same authors, which are equally amazing.
I highly recommend this book and I don't understand the criticism from the first commentator. |
