| Once again we find ourselves with Alexa and the adventure is great! i recommend it for adults as well as kids. It is a great read for the family. the same woman read all three books and i love all her different voices. Oh the series just ends wonderfully! Read it. If you liked the two previous books then you'll love this final edition! |

| I'm not usually one for seafaring tales of any kind, but THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER is an exceptional tale, and the seafaring factor is only one small part of this multi-faceted story.

| This is a book I actually prefer to Colfer's Artemis Fowl series (which I never really got into). Maybe it's my obsession with death, but I always love reading a story about a dead person, and the star of this is as fun as they come. A girl is killed in an accident and is caught inbetween heaven or hell--not bad or good enough for either. | I'd recommend John Updike's "A Child's Calendar". Many readers associate Updike with his award-winning "Rabbit" series, which is not about cute little bunnies. Nevertheless, Updike scores big with this lovely collection of poems for children. Each month has a beautiful illustration and a timely poem.

| This book holds a special place in my life because it is the first book that I ever read by Louisa May Alcott. I suspect that I stole it from my grandmother's library. As the first, it was my favorite for a long long time-- particularly since it didn't make me cry buckets the way that Little Women) did (does). It left me with an enduring love for idea of little gifts from foreign lands-- one of the things that happened to Rose that just seemed to me so very wonderful.

| Scribner has created a beautiful book in this edition. The illustrations are on heavy glossy paper and are magnificent. There are very nice, free readings of this work online, and so I purchased the book for my young children to enjoy - to read while listening to the narrator. My only complaint is the book is abridged. This is not evident from the description. I think most editions of this work are abridged. | The reader's voice is pleasant to listen to. The stories are charming. Most of them are new to me, but familiar to my husband. Very good stories with a moral taught. |

| Too bad people today are too stupid to read. It appears that if it takes longer than 30 minutes to tell a story from start to finish that it's not interesting.This book is brilliant; it's classic. If you're smart, read it. If you're a moron, watch Sponge Bob. |
