| My daughter and I are part of a mother/daughter book club that meets monthly. We decided to buy the book for some of the ideas on the discussion questions since quite a few of the books we are reading are in this book. It has been excellent, it has also given me the opportunity to get good ideas for other books that we would recommend for reading when our month to host comes up again.

| My son has loved this book since he was about 6 months old. His first copy got ruined and I had to get him another because he loves it so much. It is a sweet story and he loves tickling papas toes, poking papas nose and pulling on papas ear! This is the book that HE grabs if I ask "Do you want to read a story?" Plus at the end he gets a big kiss too, he loves it. Absolutely his favorite... |

| I enjoyed this book because it went beyond the ordinary. It made me want to reread the Narnia tales, and to share the tales with children. This book isn't for them, however. Kenneth McIntosh's Following Aslan would be a good choice for the younger readers. |

| This book is not a book to get if you are trying to find books for your son to read. While the female counterpart has strong female characters that appeal to girls, this book does not feature strong male role models. Book after book had strong female characters, dealt with males having feelings more than adventures. I am not saying that is wrong for females to be strong or males to have feelings, but that is not the kind of book that my son gravitates toward. | Horrible, horrible book unless you are writing a doctoral thesis. The author hates didactism, yet she does not explain things enough and give enough definitions. She spends the majority of the book quoting children's books as fluff to create a big book. Organized poorly. I only read it because it was required for my class I was taking. The book did nothing but give me a headache and put me to sleep. I cannot see how it has made it to print, let alone being the eight edition.
