| I am 44 years old and yesterday, at our Thanksgiving celebration at a relative's home, I came to read this wonderful book for the first time. I was so touched by it, really all choked up as I read about Ferdinand. I just couldn't hold back my tears. I will be reading this book to my 71 children, at the public school where I run an After School Program. | I bought this book for my son who will be 21 months when baby #2 is due. I love that there are no words so we can make up our own story at a level he can comprehend. It's wonderful to see the mommy breastfeeding and the daddy changing diapers, cooking, and dressing the baby. The amount of help the older sibling provides is great- showing his new baby how a rattle works, helping daddy cook, washing the baby with his mom, and reading to the baby. All in all, it's a perfect book for our family! |

| I love all of Scott's books because I always end up learning so much from them.
Extras is no different. We get a society who is obsessed with fame, so much that they have hovercams following them around all over the place. The main character is no Tally Youngblood, but I liked her a lot and as usual, I love the things in the Uglies world, like their slang and all their cool technology. | I bought this all by myself when I was eight years old (25 years ago!) and it's still here on my shelf, musty, dusty, taped together and well-loved. It was great as a starting foundation for cultural literacy - for learning enough to understand Classical themes in art or other literature. The illustrations are so engrossing and to this day when I open the book I find that I remember the tiniest details of every drawing. This is a book I would enthusiastically give to any child. |

| My daughter recently turned 7 and she can't put these chapter books down. Great books to read over the summer for girls or any child interested in fairy fantasy. Definitely recommend. |
