| This is a great book to challenge the belief that there should be no pain, aging, sickness, etc. in our life.

| This is a great book for kids, even young ones around 2.5 years old. It's an engaging story and my son loves the part where the man wakes up to find his hats gone, and looks up and sees all the monkeys wearing the hats! He asks me to read it everynight, and remembers the phrase "caps for sale." |

| I found these books to be just "okay". With the other Scott Westerfeld novels, the imagery is fascinating, his style is faultless, and the characters are very deep. The story is also very unexpected. But I dislike the story for a few reasons:
Uglies: Very gripping in the beginning, but very slow in the middle! Tally being alone in the woods, traveling towards her new home is slow-going and hard to read all the way through. And I, personally, felt more excited to hear about Tally as a pretty than a perpetual "ugly". ... Read More: |

| This is a very cute Thanksgiving book. My boys (ages 3 & 6) do seem to enjoy it and do tell me what they are thankful for, after seeing some of the things in the book. It was a bit shorter than I expected though, but otherwise a nice book. |

| My 16 month old son has loved this book for the last 4 months. We downloaded the song, and so he brings me the book at least once a day to sing while he turns the pages and dances. This is now one of our favorite gifts to give. |

| I read this for my little guy today, for the first time, and I have to recommend: take your time and really put yourself in the Dad's shoes when you read this.
My son actually left me alone and went back to his cars, because I was totally in stitches over this book. It is SO TRUE, which is of course, what makes it so funny. I confess, I did have one complaint while reading: why is it DAD's problem to arrange the bunny swap at 2:30 AM, as opposed to MOM's??? | I too, like the other reviewers, have my questions about these books. It is simply written and a bit gory at times. But's what's with all the bickering? Sometimes you want to read books to get away from reality! Enough with the sibling rivelery already!
If you want to get away from all that nonsense then try reading the Adventures With Boys series. But, if you like constant fighting then Spiderwick are the books for you! Enjoy! |
