| I owned this as a child, and so did my husband. Both my son (9) and daughter (7) read (and were read to)this book. We just had to throw out our old copy because it was so well loved. I have to buy a new one. My daughter loves all of the chipmunk stories. I'm hoping none of the stories have changed. My favorite if "the polite elephant". | This is a total gem of subtle hilarity. Imagine your average farm where the cows get a hold of a typewriter and use it to bend their poor farmer to their every whim. The tension that follows the various cow-typed notes leads to a farm animal strike. Who would have thought something so random could make such an intelligent book? |

| We bought this book for my daughter when I was pregnant for her little sister. She absolutely adored the book and wanted to read it over and over again every single night. I've since bought this or the other book, "I'm a Big Brother Now" for any new big sisters or brothers we know. It's always been extremely well received by both child and parent. |

| What a treat to buy this for a friend's baby. My youngest child LOVED this book because as others have pointed out, it is fantastic! Just reading the words results in a great rhyme and makes you dance. You can't help it. Babies love it, toddlers love it, and parents love to read it, even the 4,999th time. It makes everyone smile. We wore the cover off and had to buy multiple copies. What a great author, love all her books but this is by far our fave. |

| I haven't read any of the other Olivia books but this is one of the strangest childrens books I've ever read. Not a fan. |

| This is an adorable book. The fact that it teaches manners is an added bonus. To me, the importance is that my two year old granddaughter can "read" it herself. At first I thought she could just give me the answers to the questions and that was cute enough. But then I overheard her "reading" it to her baby doll. What great self confidence this builds in a toddler. It is the best time to start building self esteem and making a child feel "smart". |
