| As an English major and a lover of books, reading and writing, I probably shouldn't admit this...but up until this past week I had never cracked the cover or even read any kind of overview (back of the book blurb or otherwise) of The Catcher in the Rye. It's always been on my "list" to eventually read, but it never climbed up to the top until now.

| Finally a fantasy book written in an intelligent manner that has elements of fantasy and incorporates a strong belief in science and logic. Christians are the most narrow minded, cruel and ignorant people on the planet and it is fantastic to see them portrayed as such. Amazing plot, characters and story. | My six year old daughter totally gets these books. Yes, we have talked about what Junie B. is doing wrong, and how we should behave in "real" life. Definitely an opportunity to explain right from wrong. I'll use age-appropriate opportunities, real or fiction, to teach life skills. So far, it seems to be working. Enjoy! |

| It must be over a decade since I last read this book- and nearly 35 years since I first read it. Yet, when I reread it this week I still became completely engrossed in it once again. Tolkien crafted a nearly perfect faery-tale here. In some ways it presages the Lord of the Rings, yet it is somehow different. It has a different feel to it. Had LOTR never been written this book would have still stood on its own as a classic.

| MARLEY A DOG LIKE NO OTHER is a great book. I'm a teen, and almost anybody will love it. It's exciting but be sure to have a bunch of kleenex's with you too. I got it from my local library, and I liked it alot. I can't wait to see the movie coming out Christmas this year too.
It will have you crying and it will have you wanting to have your own puppy. It's a very well written book, and caps off to John Grogan for writing it. I recomend it to any age, but if you are a little emotional you may want to skip it though. 5 stars! |
