| I bought this book as part of a nutrition curriculum for preschoolers. I will be skipping this lesson because although the book is very informative, it is also very technical and includes too much information for pre-k or kindergarten kids. I think they will tune out & I'll end up with some distracting behavior going on. |

| This book is the worst possible one I can imagine for learning chemistry in this day and age. It is woefully out of date. The Periodic Table of the Elements isn't even complete! And the electron configuration they teach is outmoded. I bought it based on the reviews but felt very disappointed when I received it and tried to teach a student from it. I hope I can save you the same disappointment! |

| For the past 4 years, I have taught homeschool chemistry classes in my home using this text, as well as Biology and Physics with Wile's curriculum. Wile's texts are so truly readable, making the concepts very understandable. In reading his texts, even I as a teacher have had some "aha" moments, as he has connected some things for me that had not been clear before.
