| unless they re-released this book! It is FULL of errors. I noticed this first when doing the problems in the back of chapter 4, the Charle's Law problems. Let's think about this for a second. If air (a combination of gasses) compressed to half its volume when the temperature went from 20 degrees C. to 10 degrees C., we'd be in a far different world than we live in now. But doesn't Charles' Law say V(1)/T(1)=V(2)/T(2)? So if you had 2 L at 20 degrees C, it should be 1 L at 10 degrees? NO!!!! ... Read More: |

| I bought this for my four-year old son as he is crazy about airplanes and helicopters. I am so impressed by how thorough and detailed this book is. There is a wide variety of projects, from simple wooden airplane models made from popsicle sticks, to strap-on jetpacks for pretend play, to pressurized water rockets like they have at OMSI, our science museum.

| My kids got tired of their toys. i got tired of buying them new ones. So I found this book and discovered through it....new uses for the toys they already had. It was like buying all new toys. I cannot recommend this book enough if you don't want to go out and buy new toys. And, it teaches kids the science behind the toys, which is an added benefit. |

| My kids got tired of their toys. i got tired of buying them new ones. So I found this book and discovered through it....new uses for the toys they already had. It was like buying all new toys. I cannot recommend this book enough if you don't want to go out and buy new toys. And, it teaches kids the science behind the toys, which is an added benefit. |

| This text is perhaps the best I've used on Algebra and Trigonometry. After taking algebra in high school, obtaining this text for college helped me understand the concepts that I had missed. Bittinger does an extraordinary job of describing the processes and applications of algebra and trigonometry. His use of technology makes the process fun also. So I give this text 5 stars, and recommend it to anyone interested in mathematics. |
