| This book is a classic, and the illustrations are magical. I was disappointed when I received my latest copy--the pictures are all washed out, as if they've been reproduced with a cheaper process or something. I suggest not buying a new copy--try to find an old one with the richness of the original illustrations. |

| Wonderful follow-up to the first series. Our nine-year-old, his mother, and I take turns reading aloud each night until he is falling asleep, and we are all three anxious for reading time each night. We are now starting the second series, The New Prophecy, which follows in time, and we are glad that we read Firestar's Quest first. |

| My son is 8 now, and reading together before his bedtime has been a long tradition in our family, starting when he was only a year old. We've read all the books of the first series together and are now starting "Firestar's Quest" before moving on to The New Prophecy.
