| This book has a lot of depth, but you must see past the simple text. One great thing about the simple text is that emergent readers can read this book with ease! If they can't get it right on the first page, they are sure to get it right on the second page. The repetition is actually very beneficial and encouraging to a new reader.

| My son has ALL the Mr.Putter and Tabby books (which I highly recommend!), but this one is his favorite. These books are so sweet and funny and the illustrations are just tremendous!! |

| Lynley Dodd books are a favorite for both my son and myself. we found this book at a local borders but they are very hard to find. i like that the vocabulary rolls off your tongue but is adult enough not to be boring. it is a rhyming book which i do prefer as it sounds musical. my son at 2 was mesmerized by the stories and illustrations. at 4 these books are still his favorite! |

| Recently I was reminded of this awesome book, which I loved to have read to me when I was a young child. I'm so excited to share it with my new niece and nephew! Wonderful story line of determination, and emphasis that one can be whatever one chooses to be. |

| My family has completely enjoyed this book. It is well-written, pleasing to the ears to read aloud, and has a wonderful, happy ending. My children have asked for this book over and over to be read to them and it just doesn't get old reading it as other books do. I highly recommend it. |

| It's a cute story with a moral but I simply enjoy the illustrations so much. Mouse's personality comes through very well.
Our family enjoyed this book so much it's going to be part of our own Thanksgiving tradition. My niece actually created her own relay race so that her children could balance and carry all the food items to "Mouse's Holey Hole." (play food, of course) |

| We ordered this book as soon as we saw it reviewed in The Wall Street Journal. It is just as adorable as described. Katie is such a bundle of love and excitement that she literally cannot control her body. After being scolded repeatedly, she finally gets the returned love she's been waiting for. The progression of pictures of Katie sulking off to bed after each scolding are priceless. This book makes you feel great. Kids might like it, too! |
