| My infant son LOVES this book. He loves the bright pictures and lifting the flaps to view what's underneath. We've read it with him since he was just a couple of months old to start learning colors, opposites, and the joy of reading. |

| As always, Eric Carle has created a beautiful book that really captures a child's attention. My 2 year-old daughter just loves this one. She's recently taken to "reading" to me and doesn't much care to be read to these days - this is one of the very few that she requests me to read repeatedly (4 times in a row this afternoon).

| i thought this book was going to be good, but i didn't know it would be this good. each well-known childrens' book writer/illustrator writes about their lives, influences and inspirations.
included are ealry photos, first drawings and a full page self-portrait. so thoughtfully put together. a beautiful book to browse through and inspire you and your children to pick up a tool and draw, paint and create. |

| We are raising our son in a bilingual household, and so I was happy to see one of his favorite books, Brown Bear Brown Bear... in Spanish. The translation is very nice, with a good rhythm, and an extra nice touch at the end. I enjoy hearing my husband read it, I enjoy reading it, and it is good practice for my Spanish. |

| In the spring my niece bought a hermit crab for her three children (no pets allowed where they live). With it she bought a larger shell for the future. It is hand painted in red, white, and blue. Since then the hermit crab moved out of his original house into his patriotic one. She also bought this book to go with the actual living, breathing hermit crab.

| I bought these for my daughter, who is just about to turn 1. My main purpose for buying them was to use as artwork in her room. I framed them and am now using them as pretty animal themed artwork that is educational as well!
I was pleasantly surprised that they are such thick cards so that she can play with them too! Now I can use all of the other cards for her. Beautifully done, gender nuetral, and perfect for artwork! |

| This book has a lot of depth, but you must see past the simple text. One great thing about the simple text is that emergent readers can read this book with ease! If they can't get it right on the first page, they are sure to get it right on the second page. The repetition is actually very beneficial and encouraging to a new reader.
