| Gosh, after the rave reviews here, I was so disappointed in this book. For 4 to 8 year olds? You've got to be kidding. This book was based on what should have been a delightful and inspiring story, but the author went on and on and on and on in the style of somebody writing a report for the IMF instead of a children's story. | We just received this book today. First of all, we had not realized it would come with a small hammer. Fabulous. Then, we saw that there was a place to tap the hammer on every page (or the child could press that with his/her hand). Our 21 month old son loves Bob the Builder, and this book is a hit with him. I'm ordering the others in this set (one with a screwdriver, one with a wrench). |

| This is a very inventive and brilliantly written book about a young orphaned boy who invents a machine to do his homework and embarks on an adventure in a fantasy sky-scraper where he meets all the people who he needs to start his own business. It is not only informative but encouraging for youth to know they can suceed in the world of business.

| Oh, thank heavens for this series of books. Beverly Cleary seems to LIKE boys! It's such a nice change from all these "girls rule - boys are dumb" attitudes.
I like Henry's goal orientation. I like the way he relates to the other characters -- kind, honest, hopeful, straightforward, clever. I especially like how he treats the neighborhood pest, Ramona, a 4-year-old girl. | The pirate motif has been somewhat oversubscribed of late and the dearth of pirate products is proof. Pirate School fits perfectly into the genre and it is not a let down. The animation and narrative are entertaining and compelling enough for a 5 year old and not too rough or scary. This is a good pirate story. |

| We started our Clifford journey with "Clifford the Big Red Dog". It is a really good story. The others are not as enjoyable from a parent perspective. This sone is nice that it has fire safety eduction in it. It's not so nice that Clifford destroys a man's fruit stand and just laughs it off. |
