| We'd been frequenting the fabulous Museum of Flight in Seattle with our 3 year old, so I've been looking for a book my son would enjoy that involved airplanes. At first glance I was absolutely captivated by the artwork in this book. The story is solid and has a nice mix of situations and characters, but the real treats here are its sumptuous illustrations.

| I purchased this book because there are others in the "DK Readers" series that are excellent (Police Officer, Firefighter, Weather). However, the inaccuracy of the so-called medical procedure paints a harmful picture for the age range intended. Part of the day of the "Doctor" includes a young girl who comes into the office complaining of a "bad stomach ache". The photo accompanying the examination shows the little girl lying on an exam table with the Doctor pressing on her stomach--directly below the ribs. ... Read More: |
