| I may be prejudiced, since I am a fan of Nye's poetry. Or I may be prejudiced because I, like the central character in this novel, love old neighborhoods and believe the ubiquitous, china-shipping strip-mall school of architecture is slowly killing our souls. Unlike some previous reviewers, I found this novel to be compelling, so much so that I read almost the entire book in one sitting. In my opinion Nye put just as much gravity, joy and truth in this novel as she does in her poetry. |

| As long as I am allowed to walk this good green earth, I shall never fail to be continually, constantly amazed at how fond little children are of train books. What is to account for this? Can television shows like, "Thomas the Tank Engine" really sway such vast chunks of the child population, or are shows of that type simply made in response to kids' demands for more train-based entertainment? | If you have not experienced psychometric testing before or are a long time out of school this book is for you. There may not be such a thing as a perfect psychometric test score but practice will help and make you feel a great deal more comfortable on the day. It is full of all the standard tests starting with very easy examples so you get a feel for what is expected. I came out of my test thinking "that wasn't too bad at all". Highly recommended. |

| This book was the most helpful resource I had in applying to veterinary school. The school websites can be confusing and difficult to navigate, while this book puts all requirements and info in a neat and orderly fashion for easy viewing. It also has a lot of info the websites won't share with you, like the helpful stats on entering classes and demographic information. Excellent resource. If you are applying to Vet school, you need this book. |

| My four-year-old Korean students enjoyed listening to the recording and turning the pages with the tone. It was great to sit back and watch them take charge of the learning experience. |

| I bought this book for my two year-old son so we could read it together. He enjoys reading it with me and talking about what Jack the Builder is doing.
