| I've just finished reading Spindle's End after guiltily eying it on my shelf for about a year. What put me off reading it at first were some reviews that complained that the novel was rather long-winded. Yes, it is, and I sometimes had to re-read certain sections to hold on to the thread of the story, however this does not mean that the writing is cumbersome or uninteresting.

| I had ordered this book as a companion to the Insect Lore Ladybug Land, mainly because the Ladybug Land page had a "buy together" link. Since the Ladybug Land seems fairly educational, I figured the book would be too. I was wrong. The book is very, very simple. If you "look inside" the book, you see a page with some interesting facts on it. I was hoping the whole book would be more like that. Instead, it was one basic sentence per page. | My grandson loved the first but it got misplaced over the years. It's novel enough that adults are amused by it. The level of detail is advanced enough for older children who are able to read. |

| The cover of "Spider-Man Saves the Day" informs us that it is based on the new moive (the old 2002 "Spider-Man" movie and not the new 2004 "Spider-Man" movie) and on the title page we learn that the book is based on the screenplay by David Koepp and adapted by Acton Figueroa. However, I have to say that only thing specific to either "Spider-Man" movie in this Festival Readers volume intended for young readers ages 4-7 is the reference to Uncle Ben's declaration "With great power comes great responsibility." | Grandchildren enjoy this book to help identify what they have located outside while they play. Lot of info for young children to understand. The 8 yr old really enjoys reading it and learning about the different subjects. Good series of books! |

| Oh I love this book! so do my three year old son and daughter. I bought it when they were infants and read/sang it aloud. It is so catchy and fun. | Both my toddler and grade-school age son enjoy this book - on different levels of course. The pictures are simply beautiful and my toddler just enjoys paging through looking at them - getting the basic idea that a caterpillar becomes a butterfly (maybe). My older son obviously understands more but also enjoys the pictures. You'll get a lot of use out of this one. |
