| I love this book so much, I'm making a point to write a review -- something I rarely do. The drawings are so beautiful and *detailed*. Following the little spider's story is even fun for me, night after night, because I always see something new in the pictures. The age-old story is interesting the way the author re-tells it, and her rhymes are terrific and not at all forced (unlike some other re-imaginings of this tale). | I like this series of books because the subject matter and pictures are G - rated enough that I can read these to my 2 and 4 year old without getting into the adult, scary and complicated story line of the movie. |

| This is absolutely the most wonderful book for introducing children to the holiday. I have read it to and with first and second-grade children for years as a teacher. The children are so enchanted and just LOVE chiming in after they "get" the pattern. They "incidentally" learn their ordinal numbers (first, second, third) as part of the fun. | My 5 year old son loves insects! He chose this book at of all the ones available here on Amazon. It has fabulous close up illustrations and actual photos. Each species is catagorized, with details on type of species and how they are different from one to another. I recommend this books for any parents little future scientist! :) |

| Am I the only one bothered by the mathematical innacuracies in this book? Does anyone else notice at the end when the bug is counting up his new friends, HE INCLUDES HIMSELF IN THE COUNT! Does he have multiple personalities? And is breaking and entering really behavior we want to encourage for children - these so-called new friends are as bad as Goldilocks in that regard.
