My son, who is almost 3, loves super heroes and is a big fan of the DC Super Hero Action Figures. He found this book and had to have it. I couldn't resist either. It is interesting because it gives the information on the 5 super heroes in one side of the book and then the other side is a story of how all the friends join together to save Superman. It is a very good lesson in friendship. And my son loves the punchout figures as well. They, of course, aren't very durable, but for the price, I ... Read More:

This is actually book 1 if you read them chronologically, and it is a departure in some ways from Redwall and Mossflower (the two books I think are best-known of the series). The villainous foe is shrewder, more evil, and sane (mostly). If I remember correctly, the battles are a bit more violent than Redwall and Mossflower. I also think this book had more depth than Redwall and Mossflower. I've become enthralled with the world that Jacques has created, and Lord Brocktree satisfies immensely.

It is a good book to read, kids will love the action packed adventures of...Rakkety Tam McBurl!!!!The artwork intriged me alot. The story was fun to read and it never got boring or too repetitive. I read it in like a week it wasn't hard reading thus making it a good book for children of all ages...and adults can read them too.

This is about, surprise, surprise, a mouse named Luke. At least, one third of it is. The other two thirds are about Martin. Again. Despite weird rumors, this is set in Mossflower, NOT England. And there are NO people. Just mice, badgers, hedgehogs, shrews, otters, squirrels, moles, hares and a rabbit or two. (Rabbits are not in this book.) The bad guys? Rats, ferrets weasels, foxes, stoats, and occasional weird creatures, like marlfoxes, or Wearats. There are a few birds, too.
The real story begins ... Read More:

Having just started (and put down) a deeply crappy book meant for 9- to 12-year-old boys by a well-known author whose name I will refrain from mentioning, it was an absolute shock to my system to read its polar opposite, the brilliant Alabama Moon. THANK you, Watt Key!

Utterly competent living in the forest, Moon Blake experiences the height of culture shock when his survivalist father dies and he runs smack into the outside world. Moon is unfamiliar with things like fatty food (or enough food), television, ... Read More:

As a chaplain I find that many people come to me asking how they can teach the bible to their children. As I was looking for ways to do this with my own children I came accross this delightful little book at a retreat and have since recomended it numerouse times. My two boys are 5 and 4, and while they do love the bible it can sometimes be hard to give them practical examples and this book does an excelent job of it and the fact that there is a sword on front and even just the title makes my boys both want to open it every day. ... Intriguing even though I have seen the series in TV and knew some details before.
Despite not being a native speaker this book was easy to understand for me.
The tension keeps growing towards the end of the book.
After all I would advise to read the other two books of John Christopher as well.

When I ordered this book it was mainly for my 3 yr old grand-daughter.... the book was very informative.... BUT - it was very graphic for a 3 yr old and went into ALOT of detail on reproduction etc... the book said it was for pre-schoolers...
I think it was more appropriate for my 8 to 10 yr old grandchildren... and would suggest not shared while with mixed genders....
